Pleasure yourself on V-DAY! (#SingleAwarenessDay)

BOOBS! I got your attention right? Life is short so let’s make the most of it. Be positive and enjoy all the most ridiculous things life can offer. I like everything mainstream so if you are a person who knows all the best-selling books, top grossing films, record-breaking artists and really awesome viral videos then I’m the gal for you. But the best thing about me is that I’ll write about something trendy even before it goes pedestrian. Ok maybe that’s too much to expect but I’ll definitely try to be the most hipster person that 

breaks the news before anybody else.

With everything that’s been said I think that my first blog entry should commemorate one of the most ‘beautiful’ events of the year. It’s only been the second month and already you feel like the whole world wore you down. Who could blame you? It’s almost Valentine’s Day and we’re almost losing our minds on what to do. Oh yeah by the way there isn’t anything to do because we’re single and happy (sige push lang mga girl or boy or besh whatever).

If you are in a happy relationship and reading this please don’t continue. This blog is dedicated to all the independent and strong single people out there and there and there (dami natin!). We will not start a pity party and just do nothing, ladies and gentlemen we will start a revolution! The “NOT VALENTINE’s DAY JUST ANOTHER ORDINARY DAY, DAY”. Doesn’t make any sense right? Well so is true with love that’s why we’re single.

People listen to music to make them feel things and it was really hard looking for a good playlist to listen to this V-day. A playlist that wouldn’t make you angst-y about the event because let’s face it there aren't a lot of songs that's not about love. Even rappers hide their love songs thru their derriere voracious rap. So listen to these songs and let them make you feel like sh*t. Happy sh*t. Good sh*t.

Start the day right with this super catchy song that’ll make you feel amazing. You wake up flawless and there is nothing in the world that can make you feel down. I mean c’mon listening to Beyonce empowers all creatures in the world.

I’m not being sarcastic but if you started your day with a Queen B song it’ll definitely be the best day of your life. It is going to be the best day of your life (Tiwala lang dre’)

Well there you go people two songs that’ll make you feel that it’s not Valentine’s Day. Two is already plenty people. We should be thankful there are songs out there that don’t just talk about love. Well good luck single people and try not to cry on Valentine's Day! JK!

What's Popping?

Chai is a 19-year old University of the Philippines student who is insecure about her talent in writing so she compensates by telling everyone that she has a Super Selfie video that got recognized by Mr. Super Selfie himself, Gab Valenciano. Not that it has anything to do with her writing, it just proves to show that you don’t need much talent to be recognized and she is saying this because she’s secretly a cousin of the Kardashians. If she is not being the co-star of a viral video she listens to Chicser because it reminds her that this is her generation and that she has to deal with it (*disclaimer : she never listened to Chicser nor has any affiliations whatsoever with those b*stards). She has been diagnosed of ADHD at the age of 6 and has never recovered from it nor has taken any medications but is living a normal and happy life, at least that’s what she thinks. 

She likes to act pretentious by saying her favorite director is Stanley Kubrick but cries like an idiot over a Cathy Garcia-Molina film. If she is not going berserk in a corner for no apparent reason or sleep-depriving herself from watching too much Korean Shows, she listens to music and not just any kind, “the good kind”, which include artists like Billy Idol, Fra Lippo Lippi, Tears for Fears, Michael Jackson and all the other icons from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. She calls herself an ‘old soul’ but frankly she’s just being pretentious again. She is good in sports because her father raised her like a boy. She learned how to ride a bicycle all by herself in 2^nd grade. She believed in Santa Claus until she was in 5^th grade and had her first kiss in 6^th grade but has not done anything beyond that until now (TMI).

She lives life to the fullest and minds nothing of what other people thinks about her. Despite her craziness and mental instability there is nothing more she loves than to write about Pop Culture. Anything that catches her attention and the attention of many, from all kinds of music to films and just about anything under the limelight. There is nothing more life-fulfilling than pleasing yourself… from writing.
